Something goes bump in the night. The fatal sound you hear when you are going to sleep. You sit in bed wondering if you should get up or just stay put? Your mind starts racing trying to figure out what is going on.
Zion's Processional Crucifix
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
"I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" (Jer. 29:11).God is speaking to all people here about his plans for them. Many will think God's plans for them is to harm them, to bring them to ruin, to destroy them. When we see God through sin we can only see the God of wrath. The righteous judge who will bring his condemnation down on us. We know this means all of our ways and thoughts are going to lead to our own ruin. Being sinful human beings we do not want to take the blam for this so we turn on God.

"Sing to the LORD praise the LORD! For he has delivered the life of the needy from the hand of evildoers" (Jer. 20:13).These are the words fot he prophet in the midst of the persecution. This would have been hard times for Jeremiah. He had predicted the down fall of Judah to the king of Babylon and it had not come true. Thus giving reason for the Judeans to beat and plot to kill him. It was a time of great anger and fustration for the prophet. Jeremiah turns to the Lord in prayer. What comes out is not what we expect to come out of a great man of God.
